Ben F. Davis In San Francisco on February 12, 2009. Survived by his beloved wife of 73 years, Arlene; loving father of Paul Davis, Patricia (Franklin) Amster, and Frank (Cheryl) Davis. Doting grandfather of Allie (Jennifer) Daneman; Michael, Elizabeth, Katherine and Thomas Davis. Fortunate great-grandfather of Ben, Toby and Jessica Daneman and uncle of Nancy (Roland) Finken. A native San Franciscan born on February 20, 1914, he passed away peacefully at home of Parkinson's disease one week before his 95th birthday. He attended Galileo High School, then established the Ben Davis Manufacturing Company in 1935. An avid follower and participant in many sports, he was also a most enthusiastic 49er fan. He loved his saxophone and the music he played, with bands and on his own. Grateful thanks to his wonderful caregivers, especially Patricia Angeles. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice. Memorial service date to be announced later.
